The Birdcage prides itself on being one of Auckland’s most popular function venues, hosting parties, social and corporate events, product launches and business meetings for over 100 years! We cater for groups of any size with room for up to 150 guests inside and for up to 350 when the weather permits use of the outdoor courtyard in conjuntion with our interior spaces. We offer free venue hire, subject to a minimum spend. We have a menu to suit all budgets plus great in-house facilities such as HDMI projectors and white screens for image sharing or power point presentations, a DJ booth and a mobile bar.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE!

 I was going to email you today anyway to thank you so much for hosting Maia’s 21st.

Your direction, advice and service was outstanding and made it so easy for us to relax and enjoy the night.

The Birdcage is a beautiful venue and worked so well for our type of event.

Your team was so friendly when we arrived to decorate on Saturday afternoon and your attention to us on the night was awesome.

Please also thank your chef for the platters which were really tasty, beautifully presented and delivered with friendly service all evening.

 I have been singing your praises all day at work today, so hopefully you will pick up some more bookings.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

Hell yeah!!! The food, facilities and service was absolutely amazing, I was blown away by how little I had to do, everything was simply taken care of. You can be very proud of yourself and your wonderful staff as you all did an amazing job, please feel free to pass my comments on to them as well. I would definitely recommend your venue to absolutely everybody. Took all the leftover pizza, etc back to the office and fed the vultures (LOL) the next morning…….they were all still talking about the event and were saying it has been the best Xmas function in absolute years, makes me feel like I did a good job which was made easier by you.

THE FOOD WAS PERFECT

Hi Phil,

I am truly thankful for all that you and your team did for us last night. Everything was perfect and the friendly service from everyone who were working was the greatest service I could ever ask for and more.

The food was perfect, which honestly means a lot when it’s coming from a pacific island person because, the food not only was delicious, but the portion and presentation was just as perfect. The portions managed to fill everyone up which led to unfinished desserts. And unfinished food saved to takeaway, for pacific people, means a massive job well done. 

Your service, food, drinks and atmosphere had everyone speaking highly of the place and informing me that they are considering holding an event at The Birdcage Tavern sometime soon.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING NIGHT!

Hey Phil,

 Thank you! And all your staff!

It was an amazing night and the staff were so hospitable. I had very little to eat that night but from what I’ve heard the food was delicious!

My Mum wanted to specially say thanks to Lara. She was very helpful with my 5 year old sister and super hospitable. All the staff were lovely, the place as per usual was beautiful and I had an absolutely amazing night!

The only criticism was maybe the feedback coming through the microphone? Unsure if that was because of the way people were holding it or if it was something to do with the system! 

I had many people talking about how beautiful the venue was and I will definitely be recommending it! I think a few people have already planned to contact you in regards to future events!
